The rendering company is a so-called zero-waste plant. The final products (meat and bone meal and fats will be used as fuel to produce energy). The waste water is locally purified to river-quality water. The installation also holds positive consequences for the Serbian economy. During the first stage, 43 employees were recruited. Employment will also rise as processing volumes increase - up to 100 jobs.

In the long term, the controlled processing of ABPs will enable Serbia to export meat products to foreign markets. In addition, this is also a requirement to the EU admission.

The initial investment reached EUR 21.5 million.
