has constructed the first rendering company for hazardous animal by-products (ABPs) treatment in Serbia in accordance with the strictest environmental and safety standards.
Designed capacity of the facility is 150,000 tons of ABPs. The capacity combines realistic market capacity in Serbia (around 110,000 - 115,000 tons of hazardous ABPs per year), i.e. the quantities of hazardous ABPs that are being generated on the market every year plus capacities for emergency situations.
Energo Zelena has set up its own transport system for this purpose.
The end products (meat and bone meal and tallow) will be used as fuel to produce energy.
